I live in northern Louisiana, but I have a son who lives in Maryland. Last year, I went to a local bakery & bought a King Cake, bought a box to ship it in, then shipped it myself. This year, my sister who lives in New Orleans told me about your bakery and how I could go online to order it, then you would take care of the shipping. My, that was much easier, and really did not cost anymore. I got a call today when he received it. He said it was the Best and was going to take it to work to share it with his "northern friends". I recently moved to San Francisco, from New Orleans. Since I've been here, I've been introduced to many different types of food you would not find easily in New Orleans. This year I decided to return the favor to my office by ordering 2 King Cakes from Gambinos. I was a little shocked to see that I had to actually ice and sprinkle them myself, but this was of course to stop the cake from being messed up in transit. My co-workers were ecstatic about the cake, and about trying something that they have never heard of before. They kept going on and on about the freshness of the cakes. Thanks, Gambinos. While growing up, you've given me awesome cakes for my birthdays, and now you've helped bring a bit of New Orleans to these Californians :)
